Blanchette archi.design leveraged their creativity to reshape our work environment into a space that embodies our commitment to design and collaboration.

After the confinement of the pandemic, remote work had become downright unappealing. We wanted to offer a stimulating space that brings people together. Our dream was a place perfectly suited to both creativity and focus. Blanchette archi.design brought this vision to life.

Establishing needs and priorities

For Projet Paysage principals Serge and Maxime, it was crucial that the new iteration should allow everyone to enjoy splendid views of Mont-Royal. At that time, only the conference room and a few offices overlooked the mountain. The landscape should guide the architectural considerations and interior design. It also went without saying: our work environment had to reflect who we are. Before we began, we consulted the team to pinpoint the needs that they considered most important.

We immediately fell in love with the architects’ first proposal. We brought our own ideas and concerns to the table so the final result is even better tailored to our day-to-day needs. These rich discussions formed the basis of a solid foundation. Work could begin.

From idea to reality

We now benefit from a warm, productive space. The open concept promotes collaborative work with more intimate offices nestled within, divided by a large planter. A long communal table occupies a central place between this area and the kitchen, perfectly suited for everything from Monday meetings to informal lunches and celebratory happy hours. From time to time, pastries appear, courtesy of colleagues who know how to cater to sweet cravings.

This layout naturally encourages interaction and team cohesion. The best part: all areas are bathed in natural light. Now we all enjoy a gorgeous vista that changes with the seasons. Not to mention a conference room that is just as light-filled because of its transparent walls.

The furniture was entirely custom designed to fit harmoniously into the décor and offer optimal ergonomics. Airy work stations provide generous surfaces for rolling out large plans. Throughout, the materials reflect our love of nature in its raw form.

Concrete, poplar and Russian cherry plywood complement each other beautifully. And of course, vegetation is dotted throughout, referencing our love of biophilia. Our green thumbs have teamed up to keep these plants in top health!

An award-winning design and a desire to grow

This timeless environment perfectly encapsulates our commitment to innovation and creativity. We love our functional and inspiring workshop. Its bold design also impressed the jury at the 17th edition of the Grands Prix du Design. It was awarded Gold Certification in the Offices under 5,400 square feet category and was a Platinum Winner in the Low Cost Design category.

The island of light and its reflective faces — sometimes opaque, sometimes transparent — floats in the premises perched overlooking Mont-Royal. This unique space is both a gathering point and a collaboration hub. Like a threshold delineating the boundaries between public and private spaces, the bright yellow passageway floor cuts through and enlivens interactions and the journey.”

The story doesn’t end there. We have expanded the team to meet the scale of our ambitions. We acquired the adjacent premises and pulled down the dividing wall. What comes next remains to be defined, but we could not be more excited. The benefits of home simply cannot compete with our functional, welcoming work environment!
